Preschool Music Enrichment Classes
Music Enrichment Classes in the preschool setting support child development through providing hands on music making experiences that are facilitated to support the development of language, gross and fine motor systems, basic academic concepts, and social skills. Enrichment classes are designed so that children can not only learn about music concepts, but so that they are challenged to learn and partake in important social experiences. Through music and movement experiences, children practice following directions, taking turns and delayed gratification. As children take in the world around them, melodies, rhythm, and movement can be utilized to challenge their developing minds in a fun and creative way. Most of all, implementing music into a child's life at a young age gives them a way to relate to the community around them as they grow a deep love and confidence in actively engaging through music.
Parent & Child Music Classes
Parent & Child Music Classes focus on providing shared pleasurable experiences between children and their parents. In these classes music and movement experiences are shaped to provide opportunities for parents and children to sing, dance, and play instruments together. Parents learn finger plays, lullabies, and have fun using parachutes, puppets and other props to support their child's development. These classes are conducted with the underlying belief that as parents, the relationship with your children is the most important relationship in their lives and that engaging in shared experiences through music helps to strengthen and build up new ways to interact with your child.
